Docking Day by Amanda Jackson

The story is about a family going to their farm to dock the sheep. The dogs had already begun working. In the distance, the sheep surged over the crests of hills like a tide of white maggots.
The characters in this story are Mollie, Mikey, Tama and the chocolate truck driver.
This story takes place at Uncle Tama’s farm.

A Piece of Paradise by  Leonie Thorpe

This story is about the Rain God and the Sun God. The Rain God looked down at the village and saw that they were a very happy village and the Rain God was proud of the stream that she had created.

One day they had a argument over whose food gardens were bigger and better. They decided to settle the argument by having a competition on growing food in their areas.  The prize for winning the competition was the four bright stars in sky known as the Southern Cross.

At the end of season none of them had any good crops to show each other because all the crops needed sunshine and rain. They agreed that they needed each for growing their crops.

The four bright stars were set up in the sky in the south.

The characters in his story are the Rain God and the Sun God.

Then people thought he was but actually he wasn’t.  Grandpa Sid said to the audience that he created the sun. Everybody believed him but actually he was lying. The Vege Car By Peter Stevens

WALT:  Write a review of stories we read.

This article is about James Nui who made a car that doesn’t use petrol or fuel. James Nui’s son, James Iti wanted to be included too, so he helped out. James Nui and James Iti made the new generation Vege car. I like the Vege car because it doesn’t need any petrol. This car doesn’t affect any people around the world. The sicknesses a normal car causes people around the world to die are asthma and cancer. This new generation car  is a highly brand new version of a normal car.

I like this story is because it is a wonderful car James Nui and James It have created.  When the car is going on the street, it smells like soup.

A Passion for Pony’s  by Donna Cherry

This article is about a girl named Chelsea and her friend Sarah. They both had their own ponies. Chelsea’s pony was called Teddy. She kept Teddy in a paddock that was meant for ponies and horses.

She liked going to the paddock after school to brush her pony so that he can be nice and clean. She liked taking her pony for a ride around the paddock.

Every afternoon Chelsea and Sarah took their ponies over for the low jumps and trotted around the paddock. After that Chelsea  gives him a final brush-down. Then she covers Teddy  with a blanket to keep him warm at night.

I liked this article because it had interesting words and it had lots of facts about ponies and how to look after ponies.

A Passion For Ponies by Donna Cherry.

This article is about a girl named Chelsea who loved her pony named Teddy. After school Chelsea ran home quickly so she could groom and play with Teddy. Chelsea had a friend named Sarah and she had a pony too. They would play together a lot and groom their ponies together.

Sarah also helped Chelsea groom her pony. Chelsea and Sarah also cleaned up their ponies droppings which looked like small mountains. Sarah loved her pony as much as Chelsea loved Teddy. At the end of the day Chelsea put a warm coat on Teddy so he could be warm and toasty.

If I had a pony I would do the same things that Chelsea and Sarah did I would be as dedicated as they were. I liked the bit about the droppings. It was really funny .
